I graduated from Airline High School in Bossier City, Louisiana.
I went to college at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX
I have a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Home Economics
I regularly attend professional development conferences offered by Family and Consumer Sciences Teachers of Texas.
I regularly recieve professional development through my involvement with Family Career and Community Leaders of America
I have attended numerous workshops through Region VII and Region VIII Service Centers
I have been at Whitehouse High School since 1997.
I teach all classes related to the Education and Training Endorsement as well as a couple of sections of Principles of Hospitality.

I have been actively involved as an advisor to the Career and Technical Student Organization, Family Career and Community Leaders of America. Asside from duties with our local chapter, I have had:
I spent many years as a UIL Academic coach with several District championship teams.
I have been married to Mike Mann since 2001. Our son, Josh, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and is a succesful HVAC salesman. Our daughter, Macy, is a senior here at Whitehouse High School and is varsity cheer captain. The “Son of our Heart”, Patrick graduated from Whitehouse High School. He is married to Melisa. They recently moved back to Texas from Maryland. They have three children. The “Daughter of our Heart” Audrey, is a freshman at Texas Tech and a twirler for the Goin’ Band
I have a special affinity for Boxer dogs. My current spoiled rotten princess is Josie and she loves to come to her spa appointments that our Vet. Tech program offers. I have also taken in a second boxer as a “foster-to-adopt” Her name is Penelope.
We also have very spoiled horse, named Ringo.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy various acivities.
