The majority of my teaching career was at Plano West Senior High where I taught AP 3D Studio and Art 1. While at Plano West Sr. High, my AP 3D program was #1 in the state for several years until I resigned in 2013 and moved back to my hometown Tyler, Texas.

I believe that it is important for an Art teacher to see major works of art first hand. As a result, I have visited and studied, on a personal level, many Art Museums both here in the US and abroad. Some of them include: The Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Mussee d’ Orsay, among others in Paris, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Uffizzi Gallery, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, among others in Italy, The Metropolitan, Guggenheim, Whitney, The Met Cloisters and MOMA among others in NYC, The Getty, The Broad, among others in Los Angeles, The National Gallery of Art, Washington DC. In addition, Museums in Texas – Houston, Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Tyler. I have also done extensive travel in Europe and Mexico exploring architectural history and culture in such places as: Pompeii, Rome, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Versaille, Amsterdam, England, Germany, and Tulum Mexico.

Family Information:

I have two sons who are the light of my life! My oldest son graduated UTAustin with a computer science degree and works in the Los Angeles as VR engineer currently for Face Book. My youngest son is an Artist who sells his work nationally and internationally.

Personal Information:

When I’m not teaching I love to travel and make art. I like to cook and bake. I like to try making impossible cakes and at one time I built cookie sculptures. I also love hanging out with friends, and my family at our family farm.

In the past, my art has been carried by national companies. One was Recycled Paper Greeting Card Co. among a couple of other national companies. My art was also featured on HGTV on the show Crafters Coast to Coast.
