Welcome to my Family

My husband David and I the night we were engaged.

My name is Valanda Toy Wilson, I have been teaching and coaching for 20+ years and the last 7 have been here in Whitehouse.  I have taught 5 years at WHJH and I am starting my 2^nd year at WHS.  This year I am teaching World History and looking forward to working with a great team in the social studies department.  My huband, David Wilson, and I have been married for 4 years and we have four beautiful children.  David is a funeral director/embalmer at Lloyd James Funeral Home.  Our daughter, Korbyn Wilson, is a 2010 cheerleader and Whitehouse graduate, lives in Golden, Colorado beginning a beautiful new life.  Our son David Jousha Buckley is finishing his PhD in Physiology at UTA and is married to Makayla Buckley, who is starting her first year of teaching in the Arlington area.  Our daughter Whitney Buckley is majoring in sociology at the University of Texas A&M and will be graduating August 2023.  She is also engaged to a Whitehouse graduate, Phillip LeBlanc who is majoring in engineering at The University of Texas A&M.  The two will be getting married in September 2023.  Last but not least, the baby of the family, Jordyn Grace Hammontree, who will be attending Holloway this year in Whitehouse.  Jordyn loves cheer, dance, basketball and running.  She is on the Beelievers, Buzz and Youth Hip Hop teams at the Spirit of Tyler. All of our children along with my husband and I know the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior and we attended Flint Baptist Church and we are involved in a ministry called The Bucket Ministry.  Thank you for viewing my family/teacher pages and I hope you know a little more about me and my family.  God Bless!
