About Me

Educational History:

North Desoto High School, Stonewall, LA – 2013

Louisiana State University in Shreveport – 2018

Lamar University – 2021

Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of General Studies in Applied Sciences

Certified Mathematics Teacher Grades 7-12

Master of Education in Educational Administration

Certified as Principal as Instructional Leader K-12

Professional Development:

Attended numerous professional development sessions on classroom management, incorporating technology in the classroom, and Sandy Snow’s 3-day Formative Assessment Training.

Current Position:

This will be my 5th year teaching, and my 3rd at Whitehouse High School. For the 2022-2023 school year, I will be teaching 5 sections of Honors/GT Geometry and 2 sections of On-Level Geometry.

Previous Position:

Before moving to Whitehouse, I spent the first two years of my teaching career at Mabank High School teaching Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus. Teaching at Mabank gave me a great start to my career and opened my eyes to a lot of issues that no college course can ever prepare you for. I quickly learned that as teachers, we should always be there for our students because we never know what their story is.

Family Information:

Recently married to my wife, Randi, as of October 2, 2021. We do not have any children, but we do have two dogs, Jace, a chocolate lab, and Boudreaux, a miniature dachsund.

Personal Information:

I enjoy fishing and hunting. During my free time, I can usually be found on a lake somewhere, but during the fall and winter months I like to deer and duck hunt. Aside from that, I recently finished the certification process to become a principal in the State of Texas, and plan to pursue an administrative position in the near future.
